Metal Jacket Cartridge Heaters

The metal jacket cartridge heaters are cylindrical heating elements with a broad application range. They are used as:
  • Radiation heating element
  • Contact heating element
  • Heating element for direct and indirect heating of liquids
  • Soldered into a screw head, one has a complete heating unit, which can be completed with hood and controller into a full heating unit when required
Functional Characteristics
  • Defined heating capacity through resistance wire technology
  • Heating wire, threaded in ceramic body, insulated towards jacket tube, where necessary also filled with magnesium oxide
  • Heat dissipation through contact, radiation or convection
Design Features
  • Tubular jacket diameter 10; 12; 12.7; 15; 16; 17; 18; 20; 24; 28; 32mm
  • Tubular jacket material brass, stainless steel
  • Corrosion resistant due to suitable choice of material
  • Tubular jacket: Brass max. 250°C, stainless steel max. 600°C
  • Single-sided connection: glass fibre yarn sheathed nickel wires, maximum temperatures up to 250°C, length as desired, nickel wire bare, nickel wire covered with glass fibre yarn sleeve
  • Segments possible with increased heating capacity
  • Small cold zone
  • Power and voltage as desired
  • Cartridge base flanged, sealed by hard-soldering or sealed by welding
  • Assembly elements, sheet-metal flange with mounting holes, sheet-metal lug with mounting hole, threaded flange with seal
  • Connection hoods of aluminium: Ø 40 x 48 to flange G 3/4", Ø 80 x 97 to flange G 1 1/2", (installation option for controllers)
  • Installation: directly inserted in fluid, in mounting hole
  • Hole diameter = tube diameter + 0.5mm
