Heating Elements for Urea
"Selective Catalytic Reduction" allows for complying with the coming, tightened emission standards.
The prerequisite for an efficient SCR system is the injection of a urea additive into the exhaust stream, where the heat of the emissions releases ammonia. In turn, this ammonia enables the conversion of nitrous oxides into the harmless substances of water and nitrogen.
Urea starts to crystallize at -11°C. This means that all urea-leading components must be protected against the cold. A protective measure can be heating the components.
The following components are suitable for heating:
- Dosing system
- Dosing Pump
DBK offers heating system specifically geared to the properties of urea.
